TSEHAI is a global knowledge company, based in Los Angeles, California, and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. It is committed to the collection, production and dissemination of books, academic journals, and research outputs on Ethiopia’s historical, political, social, economic, intellectual, and cultural subjects; as well, it organizes scholarly activities that bring together Ethiopian and foreign scholars, academics, intellectuals, students, and public figures to reflect on, discuss, and propose ideas on issues that matter to the pursuit of a democratic and prosperous Ethiopia.
For almost twenty-five years, TSEHAI has provided opportunities for Ethiopia’s academic, social and political leaders to share their knowledge and experiences with Ethiopian and global communities.
Cognizant of Ethiopia’s rich, complex, and turbulent history, TSEHAI has also fostered activities and institutions that promote dialogue, nonviolence, freedom of expression, and a well-informed and evidence-based understanding of Ethiopian issues.
Continuing in this tradition, TSEHAI, in collaboration with Ethiopia’s former premiers, is establishing the Ethiopian Council of Ex-Leaders.
Many of the Council members, leaders and officials of the various Ethiopian regimes of the last fifty years, were victims of each other’s administration, and sometimes of their own. Despite the animosities and conflicts that characterized their past relations, they have agreed to set aside their past personal and political differences, sit together, talk to each other, and work on a common agenda committed to the welfare, peace, prosperity, sovereignty, and freedom of Ethiopians.
